01 / GETTING STARTED

Getting started

A little about the website and who it is for.

iGoBirding is a website for people who enjoy birds, nature, photography and exploring new places. It brings people, photographs, stories and conversations together. Read more about iGoBirding.

No. You are welcome whether you are learning your first bird names or have spent years in the field. Ask questions, share what you notice and learn from other people’s experience.

Birds bring us together, but our interests also include wildlife, landscapes, photography, conservation and travel. There is room for the places and experiences that make time outdoors meaningful.

iGoBirding is a brand of Plumas Imprevistas Unipessoal LDA and part of The Green Pot network. Our shared interests include nature, wildlife, conservation and travel.

02 / ACCOUNTS & MEMBERSHIP

Accounts & membership

Joining the community and finding the right plan.

Yes. BirdPal is the free membership option. Create a free account to get started, or compare the available plans before choosing.

BirdPal is the free starting point. BirdPal Pro and Eco BirdPal are paid options with additional benefits. Features, limits and prices can change, so check the current plan comparison and the details shown at checkout.

Some information is available to visitors. Community areas and actions such as posting, following members or joining groups may require you to log in, and some features depend on your membership.

Use the password reset page and enter the email address or username associated with your account. Check your spam folder if the message does not arrive. If you still need help, email us; never send your password.

Check your account area first. If you cannot find the information you need, contact info@dev.igobirding.com with your account email and a short description. Do not send passwords or full payment-card details.

03 / COMMUNITY & PHOTOS

Community & photos

Meet people, share your perspective and take part respectfully.

Start with Members and Groups. Explore profiles and groups connected with places or interests that matter to you. You may need to log in to view these areas.

Open the group you are interested in and follow the joining option shown there. Some groups allow you to join directly; private groups may ask you to request access. Access depends on that group’s settings.

Share your own photographs, or images you have permission to publish. Bird photographs are welcome, along with relevant wildlife, nature and landscape images. Add useful context and any required credit, and respect the privacy of people in your photos.

Yes—share a clear photograph or description and explain approximately where and when you saw it. Details such as size, habitat and behaviour can help. Treat suggestions as a starting point and cross-check uncertain identifications.

Use care with nesting birds, sensitive species and fragile habitats. Share a broader area when an exact location could encourage disturbance, and respect access restrictions and local guidance.

Tag your relevant Instagram photos with #igobirding. The Passion for Photography page includes a hashtag feed. Tagging does not guarantee that a photo will appear: visibility depends on Instagram, account privacy and the feed’s settings.

04 / LEARNING, TRAVEL & NATURE

Learning, travel & nature

Explore interests beyond the next sighting.

Visit Introduction to Birding and Passion for Photography. Check each resource for the content currently available and any access requirements before enrolling or paying.

No. You can enjoy the community with a phone, a camera or no camera at all. Observations, questions and stories are valuable too. Photography is one way to share your interest in nature.

Explore Birding Travel for travel inspiration. For any trip or offer, check who provides it, what is included, its availability and its booking terms directly with the provider.

Start with responsible birding: keep a respectful distance, avoid disturbing nests, follow access rules and leave places as you found them. You can also learn about local conservation projects and share reliable information with the community.
